The Department of Botany was established with the inception of college in 2005, with an aim to generate knowledge of Flora in the students and also to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the Environment. Plants provide essential foundation of life on Earth .Therefore indepth basic and applied knowledge of the subject is of prime importance.
The initiative of establishing the Botany Laboratory was started in 2005 with meagre resources. Gradually , the Department is developing and taking shape in small but definitive steps.
The Department offers Undergraduate course of Botany which includes teaching of the topics as per Hemchand Yadav University syllabus . Details of the syllabus can be found at www.durguniversity.ac.in
